This study aims to explore the potential for employing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to protect the archaeological sites in the city of Sabratha, which is one of Libya's most prominent archaeological locations of significant cultural and historical value. Adopting a descriptive-analytical approach, the study analyzes the site's current status, identifies its key features and the challenges it faces, and examines ways to leverage smart technologies to enhance its sustainability. A questionnaire was used for data collection, with a sample comprising 20 individuals—including tour guides, administrative staff from the Department of Antiquities, and tourism police officers. Statistical analysis revealed a lack of implementation of these technologies, attributed to a shortage of technical and human resources, highlighting the need for future development in this area.
